Route to California...

Okay, so I think I've decided to bring Bailey with me in the car, and hopefully I can get her some car-sickness pills.



Here's the route I'm taking...

• Day 1 (May 3) - Driving from Atlanta to somewhere in eastern Texas...hopefully Dallas or Fort Worth, but we'll see how that goes.


• Day 2 (May 4) - Driving to El Paso, Texas. Picking Devin up at the El Paso Airport at 11pm!!! :-)


• Day 3 (May 5) - Spending the day at Carlsbad Caverns. I'll make sure to take lots of cool pictures to post when I get to California. Spending the night in El Paso again.


• Day 4 (May 6) - Driving to Phoenix, Arizona. Going to a Diamondbacks game!! Okay, I know, I should hate the Diamondbacks (remember World Series 2001...), and they're playing the Reds, who I don't care about at all. BUT, I've never been to Chase Field, and I can never pass up a chance at going to a new ballpark. Spending the night in Phoenix...


• Day 5 (May 7) - Driving to Pasadena...woohoo!!!!
  

16 days until I start my drive to Cali...

Well, instead of doing my Advanced Astronautics final project, I started a blog to keep my parents updated about my summer in California. I'm leaving Atlanta on May 3, driving through the entire state of Texas, and meeting Devin in El Paso on Thursday night. Then we're going to Carlsbad Caverns on Friday, a Diamondbacks game on Saturday, and arriving in Pasadena on Sunday!!

My dog Bailey (no, not named after the liquor!) is also coming with me to California. She's a crazy little dog that I got from the Atlanta Humane Society in March of this year. She's two years old, and as sweet as can be. They say she's a Shetland Sheepdog mix, but who knows what else she's mixed with. Everyone she meets has a different opinion! Unfortunately though, she gets car sick, so I'm probably gonna have to send her on an airplane and have Devin pick her up in California. I'm gonna miss her while she's gone!!
